Bsod With Black Ice Defender Firewall

Hello, first post here and first DFI board.

 

I managed to get all built up O.K. with

Nvidia RAID on IDE channel with 2 maxtor 9 disks.

I chose not to install NVIDIA firewall from the

Mobo driver disk because of the problems people have been having.

 

BUT... when I installed my Black ice defender 3.6 firewall

the computer immediately BSOD'd . On reboot the computer would

randomly BSOD whilst running anything or even nothing.

 

I tried disable the second unused LAN port.

I've ruled out DOS attacks by turning my router off.

I've consulted latest tech support on ISS website for black ice and

got latest patch - still BSOD's. It has to be something in my new setup

as it all ran O.K. on my P3 933 with same O.S.

I've also tried disabling win XP firewall - still BSOD's.

 

 

I don't know if this fault is connected with previous post on 'BSOD with NV firewall'

or if it's an entirely different problem!

 

Running out of ideas!
