morpheus kain Posted January 13, 2002 Posted January 13, 2002 Due to two certain powers that I owe my existence too I am typing this on a P3 450 that a man in a PC shop was nice enough to give me. Too bad only one ram slot works, the agp is shot, and after I finally scrounged enugh money to get a decent power supply it now boots 1/3 of the time. No, it isn't grounded, yes I know what I'm doing, and yes, my life sux. Now I know this is quite pathetic, and if you laugh, somewhere, deep down inside I'm laughing with you at myself. Now for my plea, anyone with a spare amd T'bird or XP (high hopes) mobo or processor PLEASE be kind enough to "donate" it to my cause. Yeah, that was EXTREMELY degrading and I think I'm gonna puke when I proofread this. Also, if anyone can tell me a good way to earn some beans or flooz or any of that other online money stuff so that I can keep some dignity and BUY my own parts PLEASE PLEASE tell me. All my real cold hard cash seems to disappear into this thing called a bank account. Funny thing about the bank account is that almost all my money goes in it and almost NEVER EVER comes out. (certainly not for something the two powers see as worthless like a computer) Thank you all and I greatly appreciate ANY help. VolcomPimp Posted February 5, 2002 Posted February 5, 2002 Try adding a blow hole in your motherboard to overclock it... j/k well anyway all I can say is I sypathize for you... try stealing one or begging for money.... my friend once in jr high went around askin for quarters at lunch w/ me and asked ppl hella quik like one after another and made about 10bucks in quarters in less than 10mins... totally crazy... do that for about 60days and you've got $600 (or more if you make more than $10 a day...) w/ that you can buy a AMD Athlon XP1700+, a Soyo Dragon Plus, some DDR Ram, a case and possibly a vid card or whatever else you need... ya that seems a little impossible to me too... I went through your struggle for years... and before the comp I had I went through the same struggle for years b4.... which would be my P2 400 was my last comp which I got back in 98, and before that I was stuck w/ a 486 Cyrix clocked at about 120mhz I think but I think my older bro overclocked it... wow Ive lost my entire train of thought.... can't you get a job? if not, Im sorry... morpheus kain Posted February 10, 2002 Posted February 10, 2002 Wow this really sux. Went to lan party cuz my friend lemme borrow his comp. Got second place in UT and third place in q3. Won a stepping 1.4ghz t'bird and an optical mouse. Went to buddy's house and put the processor in his mobo to test it out. Well, the frikking thing didn't work. I took the processor out and low and behold the D*** thing was fried when i won it. Guy at lan party said tough S*** and gave me the entrance fee back. Sux huh?
