Guest GAbOS Posted July 2, 2001 Posted July 2, 2001 I have always used Windows ME and have gotten 3dmark3k scores in the 8000 range. Well I have since gone to win2k and ran 3dmark lastnight and hit 5000's. Astonished and redid my BIOS settings over and over. Reinstalled my Det's and still nothing. Question is: Am I to see this huge a difference with Win2k in my 3d mark scores?
red930 Posted July 2, 2001 Posted July 2, 2001 Hrm, strange in-deed. When I switched from ME to 2k I got about a 1000 increase. Maybe it was not reporting it right when you were running ME? i dont know thats my best guess.

Guest Ranmaz Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Make sure you have installed the 4-in-1 drivers from via. They make a big difference. www.viahardware.com (4-in-1) www.guru3d.com (videocard) try those site to help get those drivers. tweaks: www.tweak3d.net
bass_freak Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 I had the same problem with mine, I got that 4 in 1 driver for my VIA chip set and it gave me a big old jump in my score, win 2k doesn't care for the boards drivers much and runs slow for some reson. Me should have been doing the same too tho, or i would think, after all it is the worst OS of the decade.
