There's been a lot of news about AACS (DRM for HD-DVD / BluRay discs) lately, including this recent one over at DailyTech. Some say it's been slaughtered, others say it's been revived. I found this thread over at Doom9 to be very informative on what all the talk means and how things really stand. It's definitely written from the anti-DRM side, so it could be a bit biased, but it doesn't come off as such.

If you're curious about what's happening with all of it, I'd suggest reading at least the first few posts. The guy giving most of the answers (arnezami) was one of the guys who originally posted one of the major breakthroughs a while back. I don't remember for sure, but I believe it was him that posted the "one key to rule them all" or "silver bullet key" that blew up on digg a while back.

Aren't I nice

For the record, I'm very much in the anti-DRM camp.
