bass_freak Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 what are you changing to 1700 in your bios? for one you must change the multiplier and fsb to change your clock speed wich is not 1700mhz, its only like 1.5 or somthin like that. I would just turn it on so it runs 1100 and go and update your bios, how high can your board handle (should say on the box) and is it XP compatible?. Tanegashima Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 i thought that the 1700+ was a 1.44 ghz processor and also on most mobo there is a jumper that can change it from the normal athlons to the xp athlons
Apocalyps3 Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 I fixed it i had to set it to User Define settings then changed the multiplier to 11.5 which is the AthlonXP1700 1466Mhz and everything works now alright thanx anywayz
