bigred Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 no.... 939 and laptops don't go together. it's 754. which means no x2
snakieee Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 but read the output on the CPU-Z program... its say 939...
bigred Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 cpu-z doesn't always know mobile chips. for example an athlon 64 4000+ mobile is seen as an athlon xp mobile by cpu-z. give us the brand and model of the laptop and we can confirm it that way. bigred Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 some of us haven't slept in 6 days I did some digging thru HP replacement parts. it seems the same model is coming up under 754's and 939's. god only knows there.
kingdingeling Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 easiest way to find out --> if you take the processor out, does it have pins all over the bottom or is there a hole in the middle where there are no pins?
firky Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 lol simple but easy!!
hardnrg Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 count the pins. if you take the processor out, does it have pins all over the bottom or is there a hole in the middle where there are no pins? i'd be looking for a blank square part... not counting hundreds of tiny pins rofl
bigred Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 or put up your SN. I can look it up that way in the HP auth repair site and see what shipped in it... which I just found out. in the event of a bad processor I could do it that way. but that's not what we really want to do. it would also give me the exact motherboard listing, allowing me to tell you EXACTLY what CPU's are compatible with the hardware / bios.
