hardnrg Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 you should all be listing the settings used... i got 174fps @ 1600x1200 with all settings on high except AA @ 4x and AF @ 8x... the source engine really seems to favour ATi cards... i_lag Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 how do you get a different background in the CSS menu? Go here: http://www.fpsbanana.com/guis/games/2 dl a background you like. Open the file with winRar and drag and drop the folder in your X:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\*steam_id*\counter-strike source\cstrike directory. All mods are packaged so they can be simply dragged and dropped into the cstrike directory. (select 'replace all' when promted') Or: Your menu background can be found in /materials/console in your CS:S directory mentioned above. Then simply replace the background01.vtf file with your new background OF THE SAME NAME. Oh and of coarse you should make a backup of your original file being replaced just incase.....
