Well, here is what I have, AMD athlon 64 3000+. Asus A8V Deluxe MB, XFX g-Force 6800gs video card, I'm looking to O/C both my CPU and Video card, what I have for cooling is the Thermalake big water SE w/ the aquabay M2 radiator (that is running to my CPU) from there it runs into the stock 12cm HP Radiator, from there to the koolance 6800 water block. I don't think that cooling will be too much of a problem, but I have never done this and pretty much am looking for some step-by-step instructions... please help me out with this, the MB only seems to let me O/C 10%... that brings me upto a wopping 1.98ghz.... please I need more speed

from your post i've gathered that you have some sort of water cooling on a a64 3000+ 939 pin... we'd need to know what kind of ram you have and what your starting temperatures are before we could go much further..

p.s. and i know that most people are gonna tell you just read... and i'll tell you my self.. thats how i learned.. so get to reading up! :thumbs-up:

good places to get lots of info are the OCC FAQ link in my sig and the DFI NF4 link. even though you dont have a DFI board, it can still help you quite a bit to learn them. especially considering most of that refers to all a64's. read those till your brain explodes. get a friend to put your brain back in your skull, then ask us specific questions.

by the way, welcome to OCC. stay away from the bald lammas, the furry ones are ok (supposedly). but the bald ones are cranky. :P

OK, Well, the water cooling isn't in yet, I'm just tring to get all my ducks in a row, so to speek, and be able to get started all at once. I have been reading everything that I can on OCing, right now, though I have 4 120mm intake fans at the front of my case, 1 90mm intake on the side of my case, and 2 90mm exust fans. With a stock fan on my Video Card, right now, core CPU temps are at about 40 and have been upto 55 when I'm OCing 10%. My Video Temp is at 53 and its OCed to 405 MHz core clock Freq, with 1.10 MHz memory clock freq. thats all just using the nVidia software, and the Asus BOIS. Like I said, I am tring to read everything I can and get to know as much about OCing, Temps, and cooling/keeping it cool.... ohhh yea, I have 2048gig of Corsair PC3200 (DDR400) its 2x 1024gig sticks I also have heat sinks on these (thinking about water cooling these too) Thanks for all your help

I'm waiting on the parts and now case b4 I do the OCing, the case I'm getting is the Thermaltake Armor Case. (don't know if you need that or not.) also, please let me know if you think I have too much cooling with the 2 raditors. Thanks again

you prolly dont need to w/c your ram. but if you like overkill, go for it, if i had infinite funds, id phase change mine, just for the heck of it. but you could prolly get away with just putting a fan on them, especially if they have heat spreaders on them already. btw, what model corsair is the ram, if its value, your prolly gonna have to run it on a divider.

btw, i believe you meant 2048mb of ram not 2048gigs. :P

ahhhh... yea, you would be right about that... I think it is the value. I have it in different banks, if thats what you mean by divider. see, I can biuld CPUs, but I'm not too up on all the new terms...

Different banks? hm. I say go ahead and click on the OC FAQ link in kamikazelemmings sig. Do it now before it's to late, run, run....
