so my friend has this problem with his car... When you get into 2end gear it like stales and keeps going stales some more and does that over and over agin. Hes already takin it to ford and gotten an oil change. Ford said nothing was wrong but there still is. Also when it seems like its going to stale he has it floored and it accelerates extreamly slow...

Please mind my spelling :)

Fuel injected or carb? Sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me - if carb then clean out the carb with - you guess it - Carburator Cleaner - by spraying it into the throat while it is running, while revving it (from the spring the throttle cable is connected to, since its hard to reach the pedal from under the hood ;))

If fuel injected get some injector cleaner, throw it in when you gas up, and change the inline fuel filter.

Just my guess - even if thats not the real problem it will run better anyway becuase few people actually do mainanence to their vehicles.

Don't try the carb cleaner, its a fuel injected car.

Also, with that much milage check when he last changed his fuel filter. If he hasn't done so in the last 30,000 miles then he should do that as well. So other than that head over and get some injector cleaner (it should be a fuel treatment) and run that through. If worse comes to worse, you can have the injectors professionally cleaned for about $20 each.

If all the above doesn't do the trick get back to us.

ok check spark plugs (my friend had a ford mondeo do the same sluggy accelleration).

then check the water level too (dry radiator aint good - ive seen stragner things!). change oil filter. change air filter.

you should change plugs every year imo. i change oil and filter every 6 months.
