Guest Raven65

use a template and then trace the hole then you can use a hole saw or a dremel. just put tape a little bit larger than the hole to stop it from splintering.

holesaw is much easier, but less versatile.

Yeah a hole saw is a one trick pony but cost a lot less than a dremel AND a dremel in plastic is a bit messy, turns at about a gazillion turn a second and dosn't cut but melts the plastic and simply closes the cut section behind it loll.

I'd go with a hole saw, but if it was me i'd buy a slightly smaller size and finish it off with a semi round coarse file and then sanding paper. That way you're sure not to have small heat cracks from the hole saw on your window.Better take your time than to have a window you wont like ;)

Btw raven is right about the tape, always tape your window when you use a hole saw and use a small bit to do your center first so your hole saw center piece have somewhere to anchor itself (did you like that one "anchor itself" lolll ) :P

if you have a router bit for the dremel its MUCH easier. with the router bit only turn it on at 7 or 8 setting and slowly work your way around. get a round file and clean it up to the edge of the circle you drew and you should be fine. if you have the router bit fo rthe dremel, you should have that base for it too thatll keep your edges square.
