SVTmofo Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 im seein a bunch of water cooling kits for sale on frozencpu but they look dinky and are way expensive, then ya got the koolance exos setup which is 300 i dont mind dumpin that kinda cash for really low temps but then again can i build somthin just as good for half the dineros? gimmie some recommendations
Nagash Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Most good WC kits (whether configured by yourself, or premade) are going to run around $250-300. Personally I would go over to dangerden.com and price out a kit. That way you can put whatever you want in it to suit your needs better than a preconfigured kit would. SVTmofo Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 hmm k, just wonderin, a bud of mine just got that thermaltake WC kit and it cooled his prescott down about 20 degrees F but only cost like 150 bucks so i figured if i put my own together an get good stuff w/ larger line than that 1/4 inch line that the thermaltake came w/ id get better cooling. Nerm Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 or for about $200 more you could get a custom PS unit with MUCH better cooling capacity. lol
shervin2 Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Bigwater, best bang for the buck. Proven.
Nerm Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Shervin, the bigwater sucks lol. You can get better temps with good air cooling that doesn't cost half as much.

slayer2cool Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 to each his/her own as they say.. but you got to admit some of the ready made kits are good... but its also not about temps here... its about carrying the heat away from the cpu soo yeah cant really expect a really close temp to ambient temp for those kits.. bigdaddy25fb Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 if you got the cash..and want a sweet setup...buy a dangerden...you configure it yourself..and they are really badas$...me..im stuck buying kits and modding them to work better <_<
Nerm Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 The only ready made kit I have seen that is half way decent is the Swiftech kit, but even it doesn't hold a candle stick to a custom one from say DD.
