SVTmofo Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 hey is there any way to allocate more memory to this game.i tried looking in the .cfg file and unlocking console but no luck, this game runs big time choppy and i got a 9800xt w/ a p4 2.4 and a gig of ram..theres no way in h3ll it should run that bad at times.. shmitty Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I had the same problem when I was running with a 64 2800 with 512 ram and 9600 256mb pro. But when I upgraded to my 64 3500 939 and gig of ram and 9800 pro I dont get the same thing. I am OC'd as well. So if I was you I would probably upgrade your CPU because from what I heard 64's are the way to go, and thats the only thing I can see here that is making a difference. SVTmofo Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 yea ive been thinking about upgrading the cpu for some time now, im really considering doin the 64 thing. my 9800xt is sufficient for now, no use in upgrading to the x800 now b/c i jsut read about the x850's coming out in approx six months but we'll se whats goin on there. i might just bite the bullet and upgrade both.everyone else ive talked to has had the same problem. my friend has a 3.0 w/ a x800pro and it runs just as choppy.
