Intergrated SIS 620 card - 8 mb - uber crapy couldn play anything with it, so i bought... Nvidia riva tnt2 M64 32mb - so much better than intergrated SIS crap, years passed and time came to buy a new rig so i got a... MSI FX 5200 - TD - 128 mb - was preety good but then i got a scholarship and bought the... ATI 9700np 128 mb - dang it rocks. CardsFan88 Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 (edited) 8mb ATI Rage Pro II (+ or c or something) -- was much better than any other vidcard bundled in with computers i saw. 2mb and 4mb were what were all I saw in ads 95% of the time. Got it with my p2 400mhz...It rocked early on, but driver issues make so it kinda sucked...so...good when it worked right. But short-lived within a year games were already playing pretty bad on it. So I upgraded and got a cheap but good... 64mb Geforce2 mx400 sdr and this revitalized my puter and allowed me to keep it...well until this august. Now I got a evga Geforce 6800 Ultra ---early issues on, but now resolved and kicking major butt, but I still think my fx53 and this card should score higher in 3dmark 03 than about 12200-12500...and ~4200 in 3dmark05 (demo version...not all tests I think, which may affect score?) Im also goign to include my integrated cards bc i have soft spots for some off them lol this is the order in which i obtained the cards: *2mb ATI Mach64 (300mhz celeron) C&C tiberian sun was as high as i went with it *64MB Intel Extreme Integrated (in my HP) u can't imagine how that upgrade felt *64mb PNY MX-440 4xAGP (origionally put in my 300mhz celeron lol) my god i love this card, allowed me to play C&C red alert 2 on my 300 celeron lol and Roller coaster tycon with minimal lag lol. *SiS 650 integrated in my 1st laptop (1.3ghz celeron) played MOHAA a little laggy lol *SiS 750 integrated in my shuttle (shuttle with 1.8 celly at the time) amazingly played MOHAA like crap at ANY setting, my laptop did better so i put in my MX-440 *4mb Matrox card of some sort (got off ebay in a huge box, put in 300 celeron) *128MB PNY 5200 PCI (HP at the time now in my duron) loved this card allowed 1280x1024 MOHAA and then it let me have pretty 1024x768 with nice textures in HALO lol *64MB Intel Extreme Integrated (yes again) (current laptop) oh yeah MOHAA on thego lookin pretty nice lol even plays the Doom 3 demo with some lag. *16MB SiS Integrated with my duron (it has my 5200 PCI now ) pure crap *128MB Powercolor Radeon 9600 pro (shuttle now) well here it is the best card ive ever owned not bad at all i can run any game on the market (doom 3 demo set itself at 1024x768 medium i think) but of course i want more. but money is needed to buy more. i dont have money so ill just not worry about it, save up for an A64 system and put a by then = to a 9800XT 6800 reg or GT in it lol. UPDATE 12/29/06 Bought a 6800, bought a x850xt, sold x850xt, bought 7800gt, sold 6800, bought x800xt pe, sold 7800gt, bought 7900gt, sold x800xt pe, bought 6800gs, newest laptop has x600 mobility in it. Somewhere in there i also went through a MX-4000, a few old 2-4mb S3 cards and I'm sure i left something out. I've also had the following cards as "loaners" or just "passing by" while selling them for ppl: x1900xt, x800xl, 7900GTO, x800pro and a 6800 Ultra. Prob forgot something there too.
