Bassdude1000 Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 i was at a friends house, and it was like 5 am after an all-nite war3 fest, and i decided to take a break and benchmark. He then proceeded to do the same.. does anyone have an answer to the question as to why i scored 2000 points better than he did (granted the scores were crappy, but still). I am running: abit 200mhz fsb moboard (not sure exact name) amd athlon 1 ghz gf3 64 mb 192 megs pc133 sdram and he has: Amd Athlon xp 1800+ not sure what moboard, i think ecs ati radeon 8500 64 mb (all-in-wonder i think) 256 mb pc2100 ddr-sdram wouldn't the radeon, xp, and ddr just blow my older setup out of the water? or do i just not know what i'm talkin' 'bout. DevilMB3017 Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 What OS's are invloved? If you were didn't restart, and he was on 98, and your XP, it makes sense because of system resources. After playing highend stuff for a while, it uses em up, and sometimes programs don't give the resources back. However, XP makes sure they do better.
