Eight years after Darksiders and six after Darksiders II, we now have a release date for the next game in the series; Darksiders III will launch on November 27, 2018. Coming from Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic, Darksiders III continues the story of the previous two games by following Fury, the third horseman of the apocalypse as she hunts down the Seven Deadly Sins. This mission has been given to her by the Charred Council in order to restore the balance between good and evil, while also confirming she is the fiercest of the four.
Darksiders III will be available in four different versions with pre-orders at participating retailers also getting you the Fury Exclusive Armor DLC that gives her a new skin for her base armor that will be visible throughout gameplay. Those pre-ordering in the Microsoft or PlayStation stores will also get to choose from three pre-order opportunities, which are detailed Pre-Order page of the Darksiders website. For the most dedicated of fans though, there are also two limited edition SKUs to consider; the Collector's and Apocalypse editions. The Collector's Edition contains the game, a premium box, a figurine of Fury some 29 cm tall, original steelbook, artbook, soundtrack, and an exclusive armor DLC. The Apocalypse Edition also has its own premium box,, steelbook, artbook, soundtrack, and exclusive armor DLC, like the Collector's Ediiton, but it also comes with a wall scroll (fabric print with hanger some 77 cm x 100 cm), four figurines (the Fury figurine along with Vulgrim, War, and Death, each at roughly 25 cm), and a heavy weight amulet five centimeters in size, with a necklace. The Collector's Edition will cost $149.99 and the Apocalypse Edition will cost $399.99. The standard and Deluxe editions will cost $59.99 and $79.99 respectively, though there is a pre-order discount on the Deluxe edition making it $69.99. The Deluxe Edition will get you two DLC to be released after launch and the soundtrack.
