Regardless of what your processor is, properly cooling it is important, and proper cooling can involve having a cooler with a coldplate sized to your chip's IHS. To satisfy the need for Intel's LGA3647 socket, Noctua is introducing three new quiet coolers to cover Xeon Scalable and Xeon-Phi processors. The NH-U14S DX-3647, NH-U12S DX-3647, and NH-U9S DX-3647 4U all feature 70 x 56 mm plate to cover these large processors. The U14S naturally is the model with a 140 mm fan, in this case a single NF-A15 PWM fan, while the other two coolers will use a dual-fan configuration. The U12S has a pair of NF-A12x25 while the U9S uses two NF-A9 HS-PWM fans. The two larger coolers are meant more for tower-style cases but the NH-U9S DX-3647 4U is small enough that four of them can fit inside of cases meant to hold four large LGA3647 CPUs. Two sets of brackets come with the coolers to support both the square and narrow versions of the LGA3647 sockets.

It might be worth noting the 28-core/56-thread CPU Intel showed off at Computex as coming later this year was most likely in an LGA3647 socket. Of course these coolers will likely not get you to 5 GHz, but then it is hard to compete with a water chiller.
