Cespenar Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 (edited) Hi, I had a backup drive that died and Win 10 keeps popping up a window asking to re attach my backup drive. I can't turn it off. Seagate Backup Plus Desk Hub 4TB External Hard Drive Black STEL4000300 $165 Australian. Seems cheap when a 2 TB drive is 99 dollars. Fragsman Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 For backup I use a WD 1TB External Hard Drive. I manage myself what I want to backup and then for some folders with a lot of files such as Music I use "SyncToy" from Microsoft to keep data synced between HDD and External HDD Drive (Backup). And you can execute the sync process as often as you want. Yes my option is not automatic. probably you want a RAID so it's everything doubled instantly.
Eldridge77 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) Seagate Backup Plus Hub: The best high-capacity desktop drive. Our previous go-to for high-capacity desktop drives was the Seagate Expansion series, which is still available in 2TB to 6TB capacities at very reasonable prices. However, the Expansion has now been pipped by its stablemate, the Backup Plus Hub. myccpay Edited May 15, 2020 by Eldridge77
AkakmanH Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 It is interesting to see what users are up to when it comes to backup. Sometime back I replaced my Win 10 boot drive with a 1TB WD Blue. I use another WD Blue for backup. For backups I use Minitool which provides the ability to created a Boot USB for Backup. Because I an a retired tech, it is easy for me to boot from the USB and do the backup by creating a mirrored C drive. Minitool does a lot of other things like allocating partitions regardless of the drive size. Good luck with the Cloud Backup.
