Guest_Jim_* Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Terraria: Overworld, the sequel to the popular 2D survival sandbox Terraria has ceased development. In what was certainly a difficult, if necessary post, developer Re-Logic informed the community the game is too far from a release state and it will not compromise work on other projects for this one title. That is not to say the effort already invested will be wasted, as there are many ideas from Terraria: Overworld that will be implemented in future projects from the developer, including many that have not been publicly seen. Also in the post are some of the lessons the developer has learned, including being more judicious with what it shares and when, to make sure only projects they are fully confident will reach fruition will be publicly known. Going forward Re-Logic will also try to keep core development more internal, and not rely on external teams for development.
