Stardock has put out version 2.7 for Galactic Civilizations III and its Crusade expansion, and the company is referring to this update as 'Triumph of the Fans' as it address multiple fan requests. Among the changes is an overhaul to data management that should speed up the data manager and remove a potential issue with some anti-virus software. Previously the manager was an external, single-threaded process, but now it has been pulled into the game and made multi-threaded. The AI has also been improved, so it should do a better job of building up its planets, based on the state of its empire and the galaxy. Other changes include the ability to toggle between turn number and date and various balance changes.
