So my father just had a new Internet service provider set us up. But it s a new wireless thing. There is a unit on the telephone pole and then a wireless receiver on the side of my house.

The router they gave is not like regular routers I have seen either.

This is the router they gave us - - - - > https://www.amazon.c...tik hap ac lite

I want to get a new better router but i do not know what to get and what will work. There are two ports on this router for internet in. The internet service cable is plugged into the yellow port on the router I linked.

So can any one shed any lite on what this and what kind of router I can get that will work?

That's not a bad unit "Access Point" except for being factory locked, it is limited so you could have more frequencies, options with an upgrade,..

Netgear makes decent modem/router's for gaming, 4K streaming,.. you will need to find the best solution for your internet speed and confirm compatibility with your service provider.    https://www.amazon.c...tgear nighthawk
