On August 24 Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation will be receiving its v2.4 update, which will include many changes, including the long awaited support for Vulkan. This was already the first game to support DirectX 12 (when the base game, Ashes of the Singularity, launched) and now it will be the first title to support both DX12 and Vulkan simultaneously. Vulkan’s support for multiple operating systems means Windows 7 and Windows 8 users will be able to use it. The benchmarking tool is also seeing an update with v2.4.
Of course there are more changes than those, including UI changes resulting from a full menu rework, updates to scenarios and all three campaigns, rebalancing, and increased modding support. To thank the multiplayer community, a free Co-op Map Pack DLC is also going to be released on August 24.
