Corsair has today launched its new GLAIVE RGB gaming mouse that features a precision optical sensor and interchangeable magnetic thumb grips. As the RGB part of the name suggests, it also sports lighting zones you can configure with the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE), which is also where macros can be configured, though the mouse's 8 MG of storage can keep your profiles with you. It also comes in both black and aluminum versions, as you can see in the images below.

The sensor is a custom PMW3367 optical sensor that has a range from 100 DPI to 16,000 DPI, and you can step through that range in single DPI increments. Five custom DPI settings can be saved on the mouse and with the dynamic CPI display you can quickly see which it is you are using. The OMRON switches are rated for up to 50 million clicks and provide ultra-fast response while the mouse itself has a 1000 Hz/1 ms refresh rate. The interchangeable magnetic grips allow you to change out the shape of the mouse to fit your use style. You can have a smooth thumb grip, a rubberized textured grip, or even a wide thumb rest, depending on what you want.

The GLAIVE RGB is available immediately from authorized retailers and distributors, and is backed by a two-year warranty. The Corsair Shop shows a price of $69.99 USD for me.
