CheeseMan42 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Sony has announced a new line of SD cards, the SF-G Series UHS-II SDXC cards, which it claims are the fastest SD cards available. The cards will be available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB with read and write speeds up to 300MB/s and 299MB/s, respectively. Sony is targeting the new cards at photographers, stating that the cards are "ideal for hi-speed continuous shooting of high-resolution images for UHS-II supporting cameras and 4K video." Sony will also release a new UHS-II card reader in the Spring that utilizes USB 3.1 for connection. Pricing information was not available for either product.
