CheeseMan42 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Linux support has finally been added to SteamVR nearly a year after the initial release of the software through a development build. To start getting their hands dirty, developers will need the "latest Steam Beta Client and a Vulkan-friendly beta driver from Nvidia or AMD." As this is a development build of the software, it may not be as stable and full featured as the Windows version, but it will still be interesting to see what users can come up with. Valve also announced that it will no longer charge $3,000 for a training course for SteamVR hardware development, opting to give away the courses for free.
