For some people, mechanical keyboards are a must for gaming and everything else they do on a computer. Fortunately there are a plethora of keyboards to choose from and today G.SKILL has added to the list with its release of the RIPJAWS KM570 MX mechanical gaming keyboard. As the name suggests it uses Cherry MX switches and is available with the red, brown, and blue varieties.

The new keyboard shares the same foundation of the high-end KM780 series of keyboards, but with a much more minimalist design. Keyboard customization has not been lost though as it comes with per-key custom lighting, seven lighting effect presets, on-the-fly macro recording, Windows application shortcuts, and the usual media control hotkeys and dedicated volume controls. All of your customizations though are stored locally on the keyboards internal memory and does not require any special software to use. You can freely move it between computers without losing your settings and with plug-and-play support, you can just connect it and get to work or play.

The KM570 MX also features n-key rollover, 100% anti-ghosting, a 1000 Hz polling rate, Windows key lock, and a 2 m braided cable. It can be purchased now with Cherry MX Red, Brown, or Blue switches for just $99.99.
