The Old West beckons to us once more, with Rockstar Games delivering its vision to us in the form of Red Dead Redemption 2. Yes, we're finally heading back to the American West in the days of cowboys and lawlessness, with an absolutely stunning take on the time. It was just a couple days ago when Rockstar announced we'd be getting a Red Dead Redemption 2, the long awaited sequel to the second game in the Red Dead series, and while it eschews the naming conventions of the past two games, it still should deliver on what the series is known for. Today was the day we'd getting our first look at RDR 2, and Rockstar delivered on that. The game itself, even if it's a year out, looks positively gorgeous, with stunning vistas, snowcapped mountains, rolling plains, and more. You should just see for yourself below.

What's interesting is that we look to be in the heartland during the turn of the century, with oil rigs, buffalo, and vast grasslands showcased. This would seem to fit more in line with Wyoming or Montana than somewhere further south, like we got in Red Dead Redemption. It looks like the sequel is closer to Canada than Mexico, which is good to give us a different experience. It all still looks stunning, from the landscapes to the people, towns, and animals, both wild and domestic. We also get a brief look at a posse heading out, more than likely our own posse, but I'm afraid the makeup of it and who exactly we're controlling is a mystery.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is slated to arrive in Fall 2017 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No PC version is announced at this time, but hopefully we actually get RDR 2 on PC at some point instead of waiting forever for the Red Dead Redemption 1.
