CheeseMan42 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 For the past several generations of NVIDIA GPUs, the company has released a series of mainstream graphics cards before releasing its most powerful card of the series, commonly carrying the TITAN designation. The latest cards from NVIDIA utilize the Pascal architecture with GP100 and GP102 cores on the GTX 1060, 1070, and 1080. While we already know quite a bit about these cards, details on the Pascal based TITAN have not been easy to come by. VR World has obtained some initial performance numbers that claim the upcoming TITAN is "at least 50% higher performance than GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition," adding that the performance is "now bound by the CPU." The sources did indicate that the Intel Core i7-6700K performed better than the i7-6950X. VR World believes that Gamescom, which runs from August 17-21, could be a good time for the official announcement.
