N.E.A Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I noticed that when there is a video playback on youtube or from my PC, the mouse moves a little bit slower. Could it be because the 2D clocks of the GPU are too low? I am using a GTX 550 TI with 32" 1080P monitor. I checked the CPU usage and it never gets higher than 28% at the most and GPU load is not significant. Also if it is not the 2D clocks of the GPU, what could be the cause of the issue? Crow47 Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 My experience tells me I'm more inclined to think it would be a software issue that would cause this. Aside from Youtube, what programs are you using to play media, and from what sources? A few catch-all suggestions are: 1) Make sure you have the latest nVidia drivers for your video card. Go to nvidia.com to download the latest drivers. 2) For media files on your PC, try a media player like VLC or Media Player Classic. 3) What browser are you using for Youtube? I would recommend Chrome if you aren't using it already, but Firefox and Opera are also solid choices! Good luck!

N.E.A Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 So does anyone know the reason for this? Is it because the resolution is too high for the GPU 2D performance?
SpikeSoprano Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) What brand of mouse do you use, very possible if it's a higher end mouse it may need the manufacturer's driver or software. (Post # 2000. LOL ) Edited July 1, 2016 by SpikeSoprano

ir_cow Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Last time my mouse moved slow during playback was went I switched to 1080 and my video card at the time couldn't drive the desktop. If I lowered the resolution it worked fine. Also If you are playing H.265 (HEVC) or something isn't supported for GPU decoding, it can go very slowly. My laptop has a hard time playing 2.65 1080P videos.
