NCC10281982B Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 I have been getting a lot of failed F@H work units on both my GTX970 & GTX660. Driver & fah reinstalled do not seem to help. The 970 seems to play just cause 3 just fine. There are some odd lighting issues in game. Hard to describe its like shadows behind buildings g\flash white rapidly. No other issues. So I need to determine if the card is actually failing before I commit to spending money. NCC10281982B Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 As an update. I got one of these "GPU driver has crashed and recovered" errors. Not looking forward to spending $. This is what MS has to say. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2665946
road-runner Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I have never run the test so no clue on the results, might try OCCT I think it has a gpu test also
SpikeSoprano Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Nividia's latest drivers are a bit wonky lately with some cards, especially factory oc'ed ones, when I play fallout4 with my 660 which is factory oc'ed by only 13 mhz I have to downclock it to the stock nividia clock or I will get the error ypu get. You might want to try downclocking your cards to see if that helps.

NCC10281982B Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I implemented the MS fix. I have had one instance of "Just cause 3 has stopped working" but no Driver crashes. F@H seems fine as well.
Waco Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 The easiest fix is to drop your GPU clocks by 20-50 MHz and see how it goes. Factory OC'd cards always seem to flake out after a few rounds of driver updates since they're being pushed harder by better drivers.
