Bosco Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Frank was at NVIDIA's event where they announced the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. Here is a quick right up: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/nvidia__gtx1080_gtx1070/ Now we can bug Frank for all the juicy details
kuri Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Those specs look tight. Can't wait to see actual benchmarks.
ir_cow Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Leaked benchmarks show 10,000~ for 3DMarks Firestrike Extreme. For reference my friends highly overclocked 980 SLi is 9,600~ . My old OG Titan SLI is 8,000~ and the 780 Ti I have under water is clocked at 1300/1900 and getting 6,100~. So for anyone wanting to switch from 980 SLI or even from the series before, this might be a worth it. Of course leaked benchmarks aren't official, buuuut they have been very close in the past to the real ones in my experience. I'm differently going to buy the 1080 and watercool/ overclock the hell out of it.

I'm differently going to buy the 1080 and watercool/ overclock the hell out of it. I'm also keen to see what the real life benchmarks are. My overclocked 980Ti comes within 10% of those leaked 3D Mark 11 and 3D Mark FireStrike Extreme benchmark scores so I'm thinking the real world benchmarks would probably also be around that margin. The 1070/1080 are sure going to be great cards for those guys with 970s or 980s. The 1070 looks like great value. I wonder what the card is that shows around 7.6Gb VRAM in the leaked benchmarks, 1060 maybe ?

ccokeman Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Polaris is coming.....I think it wont be enough. If it is it will bring parity to pricing again. However NVIDIA has a few tricks in the bank.
