The game is published by Stardock, which also recently published Ashes of the Singularity, and developed by Mohawk Games with Civilization IV lead designer, Soren Johnson. Offworld Trading Company offers an interesting twist to the RTS genre, by giving players a company to manage with the ultimate goal of conquering the Martian market by taking over the competition. Instead of building units and armies, you instead build up resources and materials to sell and manipulate the market with. You can also turn to the black market to gain an upper hand. The game supports up to eight players in its multiplayer mode, and also features a campaign, skirmishes, and daily challenges. You can also join ranked ladder games, to see compare yourself against other players.
