Gremlin Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Well tbh it is how much you can afford. Would go for GTX 970 ..
punkishbloke Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I dont mind buying the 970 and chucking a small amount of cash on 9590 if its worth it but if i go for a complete new I5 or maybe I7 build thats probably me going to be done for several years as far as serious money spent. Onion Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 GTX 970 will do you well. Best value for money is the Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 model. Its overclocked higher than a lot of the cards (PNY, Asus, etc), has excellent cooling (massive open heatsink and 3 fans), and has that sweet Gigabyte warranty and customer service. IVIYTH0S Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 If you want to game focus on a better graphics card, my friend only has a 660Ti and a Core 2 DUO and he can play pretty much anything without much trouble at 1080P
SpikeSoprano Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Here is a comparison of your cards and a 970http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=2438&gid2=2020&compare=geforce-gtx-970-4gb-vs-geforce-gtx-470-sli
Fight Game Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 a single card is always a better choice over 2 cards unless you are using the 2 very best cards there are availble, due to noise, power consumption, cost of the cards, compatibility issues, the fact that your memory is limited to a single card's worth, the list probably goes on
