Waco Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Cool looking...but at $500 there's nothing on it that a $150 board doesn't have besides AC wireless. I expected 10 gigabit or something!
red454 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 And at that price you no x16/x16? Expansion Slots PCI Express 3.0 x16 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8 or x8/x4/x4, gray)1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x4 mode, gray) PCI Express x1 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x1 (black)
Waco Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Can't have x16/x16 native on Z170 as far as I know.
red454 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Can't have x16/x16 native on Z170 as far as I know. Right, chip set limitations - for that kind of money I would expect dual X16 so the X99 Rampage V Extreme may be the way to go (I have been kicking both of these boards around for a new build)... Of course, you know how it is with top dollar for any new release.

Braegnok Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) High price for a few unique features,.. advanced bios and overengineered power delivery system, NVMe support for running the Intel SSD 750 series drives at PCIe gen 3X4 without M.2 Hyper kit,.. hope the bios and drivers are worked out.
