jdm_freek Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 so i have ran into some issues upgrading to windows 10 i have win 7 ultimate oem and when i run the update i got some sort of smart boot error and it would revert back to win 7 but my product key said it was no longer activated i tried to reactivated but received a The Software Licensing Service reported that the license evaluation failed. (Error code: 0xC004E003) so i reformatted and retried 4 times then gave up and called MS and they told me it was blocked. my question is can i use a key from one of my non working systems. SpikeSoprano Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Probably not, the keys are linked to the hardware on the pc that windows is on, you might have to make the call to Microsoft and explain the situation.

Boinker Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I tried contacting microsoft about licensing my windows 10. turns out my motherboard decided to die mid intall and that left me with no usable OS. OH WELL. not that I installed 10 over the Media creation device. So now im trying to decide whether to give in and buy a full copy from the egg or argue with tech support some more.
