Are those two games very cpu intensive? Would of thought maybe games like Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4 would show any improvements, maybe some others too

Not bad. I like Intel cranking out newer chips with small performance gains. The used CPU market makes for some cheap upgrades. :D

Will be moving away from those two games for our next set of reviews. You also have look at the fact I am not running bare bones settings in the game testing changing the dynamic with the GPU as the limiting factor.

I think next week or the week after. IDF15 runs August 18 to 20, so around then if all else.

Intel put the time in to drive that next level of performance that might just be enough to entice all those folks sitting on Sandy Bridge CPUs that it is indeed time to jump forward on this new platform.

 

I am still on x58 platform lol

I'm still rocking P55 and to be honest I will still probably wait another generation or two to upgrade. The performance gain are there I just don't do anything that requires that much extra horsepower.
