Devilz_108 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Hello It's me again with the same video card and the troubles I was playing BFME 2 which shouldn't have any stress on the GPU because it's an old RTS and I had a crash something like a gray to blueish screen and the sound froze also so I had to restart.. and went back to the game again.. and then had the same crash So when the PC restarted in the BIOS screen there is 2 thick green lines so I thought it's probably the cable.. so I've changed the cable and no so I thought it's the monitor so I've tried the MB's (CPU) graphics and the green lines disappeared So If I let the PC boot to Windows with the Radeon.. in the welcome screen the 2 vertical lines became too many green dots with black lines among them lol After the Welcome screen the whole screen becomes BLUE but I can still hear the hard disk working I've tried a different PCI slot removed it cleaned and put it back nothing helped.. the mobo is new (Z97X Gaming 7) I had a feeling that there was something wrong the whole time with the card or the monitor but I didn't think that it will fail sadly it costed me about 1000 usd yeah it's expensive here.. I've contacted Sapphire last 2 days but still they didn't reply , I've bought the card about 3 years ago I think Honestly I felt like the card is rubbish in term of hardware and from Sapphire point of view as stability but I can't deny that this card is a beast but also runs very hot and very loud. Is there anything I can do? will they accept to RMA it? Thanks and much appreciated. Edited August 1, 2015 by Devilz_108
bp9801 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Sadly, Sapphire has a two-year warranty on video cards, but the RMA process is handled by wherever you bought the card from. If it isn't an authorized retailer, I don't think Sapphire goes through with it at that point. It does sound like the card is on its way out, since it reminds me of what happens when my 8800GTX kicked the bucket, so may be time to look at a replacement model. Devilz_108 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 It's out of warranty as far as I remember is there anything I can do for it? The store will RMA it for me?
bp9801 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 The store is where you'd go through with an RMA if you were in warranty, but since you aren't, I doubt there's much that can be done. Couldn't hurt to contact whoever you bought it from and see, however.

bp9801 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 You're welcome. Hope you can get some resolution out of it. If not, well, we can recommend some cards to upgrade to!
Devilz_108 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Yeah that would be perfect to give me some cards' names because I'm kind of lost when it comes to card lol That card was noisy but a beast I want something like it but with less noise and better cooling Any suggestions? GabrielT Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 GTX 970 would be a good upgrade and tend to run cool and quiet. The MSI variants seem to be the quietest for aircooling. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127832 Hopefully you can get it a lot cheaper than the 7970, is it worth it to buy it from another country and have it shipped to you? Devilz_108 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Indeed it's cheaper but as I know newegg just ships to America and Canada 970 seems to be good and I think I prefer going back to nvidia as AMD killed me with their drivers and crashes
Boinker Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Just a thought but maybe it is time to attempt the oven Trick. Where is Mythos when we need that tutorial.
SpikeSoprano Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I agree with Boinker on the bake idea, the card is pretty well useless now with no warranty so an oven bake just might fix it, nothing to lose and a working card to gain. Devilz_108 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I've looked in Google for some guides but I don't really believe that it will work and even if it worked it will work for about few months and die again
