bp9801 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 There's the ASUS VN248H-P if you want an IPS panel, the VS248H-P if you do not. Or the VX238H. Same with the Dell E2414Hx. If you want to go up to $250, there's Monoprice's 1080p 144Hz LED monitor.
ggg6hfgb Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Any subtle differences between them?
ggg6hfgb Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Oh,and I prefer monitors with no shitty built-in speakers, might as well use better material/tech than build speakers in my opinion.Maybe I should go with my original choice... bp9801 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Just because they offer built-in speakers doesn't mean you actually have to use them. An IPS panel gives better color clarity than TN, plus better viewing angles. The response time is negligible, especially when they're all under the 8ms range. The Samsung S24C450DL is right up at the edge of the $200 price tag, same with the LG 25UM57-P, and the LG 24M47VQ is crazy affordable right now. With the $200 limit, you're mostly limited to 1920x1080, with some exceptions, like the LG 25UM57-P I listed.
ggg6hfgb Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 i mean I don't want the manufacturer to spend time and money on speakers I will NEVER use.I would rather like them creating a better product using the money and time on the speakers. ggg6hfgb Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 So,I think I am going to buy the ASUS VN248H-P. However,it seems that this one doesn't have DVI port. Will HDMI and D-Sub be good enough ?
bp9801 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Yep. Most video cards support HDMI, so just hook it up that way. Just change the audio output from the built-in speakers to your own set, since HDMI carries audio along with its video signal.
