gebraset Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Microsoft has revealed that Cortana, the company’s digital assistant that is currently offered on the latest version of Windows as well as Windows Phone devices, will be available for Android devices in June and iOS devices sometime later this year. The announcement is part of Microsoft’s initiative to bring various features and services from the Windows 10 operating system to all smartphone owners. According to Microsoft, Cortana on Android and iOS devices will provide notifications for a wealth of different content, and will be capable of answering the same questions that it currently can on Windows products. Cortana is expected to be a little less powerful outside of the Windows environment, due to various integrations, but the digital assistant will likely prove highly successful for those who prefer offerings from Microsoft.
