bp9801 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Grand Theft Auto V has been out for a week on PC, but even longer on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Given that the PS4 and XBO are most similar to a PC, it makes sense to look at how the versions compare, and specifically the PS4 to the PC at 1080p. We have already seen how the PC, PS4, and PS3 compare before, but the PC was cranked all the way up to 4K. This time it is at 1080p just like the PS4, and surprisingly, things are quite similar. Well, in some instances things are similar, like certain textures and the foliage, especially. Others are more pronounced, like the anti-aliasing and the shadows. The shadows are soft and much more realistic on PC, while the PS4 has ones that are harder and not that great in some shots. Distance Scaling is also a factor, as is Ambient Occlusion, with the former taking up plenty of VRAM and the latter adding a bit more depth to areas. You can see the differences and similarities for yourself below, with more offered at the source. Below, the PC screenshot is first, with PS4 second.
