wevsspot Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Welcome to the forums Giordino. Would be helpful to know your budget and where you would buy the card from.

SpikeSoprano Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) The gtx 960 seems to be the card of choice for price and performance lately, they sell for around $200 us dollars. Welcome to OCC and your English is fine. Edited April 3, 2015 by SpikeSoprano
GabrielT Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 The gtx 960 seems to be the card of choice for price and performance lately, they sell for around $200 us dollars. GTX 960 are about 5% slower than a 7870 even with a huge overclock. By huge I mean about 40% over the reference cards. If he wants an upgrade he will need a R9 290 or a GTX 970 or better. I think one could be found for 200 euros if you are willing to shop around Good luck
giordino Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Thank you for your suggestions. I think that both of cards are great, but more expensive than 200 euros. At the same price I found an used EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked ACX with 3 years of remaining warranty, is it a deal? Thanks Edited April 3, 2015 by giordino
GabrielT Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) Edit: Wow I posted some useless stuff. I didn't know the euro was so close to the USD. 960 seems to max out your budget now. That 770 seems like a good deal now. Edited April 4, 2015 by GabrielT

potatochobit Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 exactly why do you want a new graphic card? I love the phenom II but I would probably upgrade to an FX before replacing the graphic card in your computer
giordino Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Because the other card is broken.
giordino Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Hi, what about a Gtx 760? I found one at 150 euro. Thanks
potatochobit Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I do not know if that is a good deal but a GTX 760 is just a little bit weaker than a 7970 / R9 280X so if it is a good value then it is a fine card to choose
