Cespenar Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 My son has a Gigabyte Z77 mobo and we had a planned blackout. He turned his rig off and when the power was restored, he turned the rig on. It froze at a black screen with a flashing curser in top right of monitor. Since then he is experiencing a beep when the rig has a reset. I have noticed that the beep is usually short but after reseating the ram and Video card today, i heard a short beep. A long beep. And then a short beep again. Google suggested reseating above so I did that. He just did a shut down, followed by a reset. The shutdown gave no beep on restart but the reset still gave a short beep. I'm asking for some input here, as the rig seems to be behaving itself except for the beep that started after the above mentioned details. GabrielT Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I have my gigabyte boards set to beep on post. Mine are older and have no cursor available in bios. Check the manual for that specific motherboard, I am sure it's available on gigabyte's website
