New Tablet (Android App Suggestions?)

So I finally bit the bullet and jumped into the tablet world, I got me a shiny new Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and LOVE it so far. I got it mostly to be able to digitally carry all my sheet music for school, but I also want to use it in other effective ways. As such, I'm looking for your recommendations as to some useful Android Apps that may improve my tab experience, and assist in my learning endeavours. Hell, let's be honest, I'm looking for games as well haha! Any suggestions?

The typical things like Netflix, Amazon Music, Amazon Kindle (may already be pre-installed), and Spotify (or Pandora if you use that). Real Guitar may be interesting for you, although I know you mostly sing. There are tuner and metronome apps to get if you don't have one already; some are paid, while some are free. Amazon also has a free app of the day that covers a range of types, so definitely check that out. Just be mindful of the reviews, as they can let you know if the app is even worth installing.

For some games, can't go wrong with Plague Inc., GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, Knights of the Old Republic, The Bard's Tale, and Anomaly: Warzone Earth. There are others too, free and paid, so just have to see what interests you. Humble Bundle offers Android game bundles from time to time, so definitely check that out.

Wow are those full blown GTAs?! As awesome as that'd be, without controller support they're probably impossible to realistically play (and succeed)

BlueputDroid

ConvertPad

Credit Karma

Dolphin Browser

Hook up a controller via USB or Bluetooth and problem solved.

Per the game description: "Compatible with the MoGa Wireless Game Controllers and select Bluetooth and USB gamepads."

I'm not rooted, purely because I don't want to risk the warranty.

@BP, I think I actually installed that today. I play guiotar, drums, a wee bit of piano and sing, so I like everything haha.

Thanks for the suggestions!

If you can unroot it at any time, just do that if it has to get warranty repair, but if it's so far gone you can't then I doubt they'd deny your warranty claim when the rooting was obviously un related

Fair enough. We'll see what I think needs to happen. I'm working on rooting my dad's old eee pad transformer.
