Track day this coming weekend though...time to embarrass a bunch of far more expensive cars! Last time it was just a bunch of weenies in NSXes that wouldn't hit the go pedal, this weekend I plan on making a few Corvette owners cry. Waco Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 So...a few things have happened since my last post. One, my thermostat was discovered to be busted. I've been driving the car essentially cooled only by the heater core for the last 3 years. These cars are clearly beasts. Two, I managed to get a lovely nail through my tire on the run where the block started pissing coolant (thanks to the thermostat never opening). Three...I fixed the above, and behold: They're...wide. Jongbloed Aero 500. Only slightly meatier. Slightly. Hell yeah. I love these new wheels/tires. First actually *almost* hooks now. The tire/wheel stack keeps growing. I'm in the process of making the Miata into an Exomotive Exocet. ~800 pounds lighter than the Miata, stupid stiff frame, and something I can build in the garage. Its a TT 1JZ swapped SC400 that I am doing a single turbo build on. Still have the Z of course, but this is something I can drive to work with AC and a nice sound system .
