Assassin X Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 So last year I fixed a friends computer. I reinstalled his Windows. He asked for me to make a password. Well he hasn't used the laptop until now but he says he doesn't remember the password and he obviously can't get into Windows now. He asked if I can fix it but as far as I know if you don't have your password for logging in then theres not much you can do right? Just have to reinstall windows. I can't recall which Windows he has. I think its XP or 7. I'll reply later about that.

WhenKittensATK Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I think you can reset it using the command prompt through install disc or safe mode. If not you can use a 3rd party program like http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

I usually just use one of the password editors within my bootable falcon 4 tools
Assassin X Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Thanks for the info. It makes it even easier since it turns out who doesn't have his serial for Win 7.
