Yeah.... that's not going to happen. If you get 4.8ghz I would be super happy with it.

Unless he's lucky and has a good CPU...there ARE a few of them out there in the wild after all. 

 

One big thing that can sometimes help with Haswell stability & heat is to try manually setting the voltage.  Auto on most setups will end up overvolting due to the on chip voltage regulation taking over and being too harsh. (My 4770K tries to go nearly 0.2v over where it needs to be if I set auto @ 4.3 under load for example).  It's worth trying anyway, who knows you MIGHT get 5Ghz out of it with enough patience and tweaking.

 

As for temps I don't mind hovering near the 100C throttle point for a quick benchmark, but 24/7 stable I want to be 80C or less with haswell parts.  In theory you can let it peg off 100C all day long and it'll be fine, but the lower the temps the happier it'll be long term.
