Much is still under wraps about the details of the game, but they will be releasing more info at Gamescom. The setup is similar to World of Tanks, which will provide some familiarity and possible annoyances. Will have to see how they balance everything out. Anti-tank missiles sound frightening. It feels like they are trying to be like World of Tanks where you can trade/negate hits vs the more realistic one penetrating shot and you're doomed.
Health System: Currently we are working with a hybrid system where tanks have health bars, but can also be disabled in other ways (e.g. destroying a tread).
Vehicles: Features tanks and armored vehicles from the 1950’s up to the present day. (Includes vehicle types: infantry fighting vehicles, tank destroyers, self-propelled guns (artillery), and main battle tanks)
Controls: Main is keyboard/mouse. May include controllers, weren't specific on the details.
Clans: Yes with options to battle as individual or groups.
PvE/PvP: Includes both.
Platforms: PC for now, will announce if they decide to launch for MAC/Xbox One/PS4.
Progression System: Gain experience to unlock upgrades. No details beyond that.
Mod Support: TBD. In World of Tanks players can install modifications like skins, audio packs, gameplay enhancers like customizable health gauges, minimaps, and etc.
Stats Tracking: Yes.
Players per Map: TBD. At least 10+. Unsure if thats 10 per team or 10 players total.
Arcade/Simulation: Mix of both. Will not be a simulation game.
Damage System: Depends on where you hit the tank and with what type of ammunition. IE: modules and weak points.
Ricochets/Non-Penetration Shots: Yes
Destructibles: Yes: buildings, trees, and bushes. Cannot damage terrain (in a sense of destroying a hill).
Dynamic Events: Weather changes and static non-player controlled things like bridge destruction or airstrike.
Secondary Objectives: Teams can work together to complete specific objectives within a certain time to gain extra points. Needs more details, all this could mean is capture the flag vs killing all enemies.
Spotting System: Based on the video it sounds similar to World of Tanks. I hope they can tweak it to be better, because in World of Tanks if tanks aren't in your view range it basically looks like your getting shot by invisible tanks or tanks who you did see suddenly disappeared completely by driving 5m backwards IN AN OPEN FIELD!
