It is simple really.

A man is generally stronger than a woman and he can defend himself from an attack from such.

If a woman is threatened,  the human species tend to have a more compassionate reaction to her because she is considered the weakest kind of the species.

It is called nature ;P

Especially when she gets that thousand yard stare before a match.

But for the most part as a man you do not ever hit a woman. Restrain her from hitting you yes but outright raising a hand with the intention of hurting them , no way.  Restraining does not include hands around her neck.

I think the point of the video is that you shouldn't abuse others, and you shouldn't also suffer being abused. Slightly off topic, but most bullies I knew weren't the biggest, and one of them was a girl. The "New Age" bullies, as I once called them (before the bullying laws were passed) used "the system" to their advantage. They'd say the meanest things, hit people in the body to leave no mark, and lie about it if confronted by an adult. If they got hit back, they'd report that they were the ones being bullied, and the actual victim got in trouble. I don't know how, but when I was 12 and older, I had the reputation of being someone not to mess with at school, even though I never did anything. Someone being bullied by a girl hitting people came to me for help, and I told the girl if she hit other people, I would hit her back, and it would hurt a lot more than she was hurting the others (I was bluffing, but apparently she knew about my reputation, so she didn't chance it). Being stood up against made her stop.

Anyways, a couple things:

1. Feminism has a bad reputation, even though it's just women that want equality between the sexes, and that's it. Men have a problem with it because they see women as the "inferior" sex. It's not a women problem, but a men problem. Just look at all the replies. "Weakest kind of the species", and "you do not ever hit a woman". While it's respectable to protect those weaker than you, that doesn't necessarily make all women weak. There are a lot of physically weak men out there, but we don't treat them the same (most people treat them worse than women). Take the video for example. People just laugh at the poor guy.

2. If you really want to help women, don't get in the way to "protect" them from themselves. If they want to play in men's sports, let them play in men's sports. They already get paid less then men do, on average. A female boss that holds the same favorable traits as a male boss is considered the b-word. If they do something wrong, don't let it slide because they're a woman. If they open the door for you, say your thanks and go through, don't stop and hold the door for them and instead say, "Women first". That's now sexist.

3. Restraint is good, but it's always used for discretion. If you're an adult male, of course you're going to show restraint to children, the elderly, most women, and some men. Just never say never. If a physically capable woman was about to kill a family member, and knew how to fight, you're either going to be killed, along with your family member, or you're going to stop it any way you can. Imagine fighting an army of children, like in Uganda. If that army came down on you and your family shooting and killing everyone in their path, and you can't run away with your family, you're just going to let those kids kill you and yours without a fight? I think not.

I totally agree, I would add that that is the rule to live all relationships by.

I'll probably sound sexist, but extreme feminism is the bane of human existence.  Some men have become so neutered by today's culture and political correctness that they can hardly be called men any more.  In the natural order of things there has always been a "natural order".

With that being said, if a woman has equal talents and ability as a male counter part, then she shouldn't be discriminated against just because of her gender.  Whether that be in her professional life, home life, military service, clergy etc.

As for the video.........  I don't know if the statistics are accurate, but domestic violence is perped by both men and women.  And right or wrong, if the police are called to a domestic violence incident it is inevitably the man who will be arrested (at least here in the state I live in).  Assuming that he is still alive or not beaten to a pulp, suffering stab wounds or gun shots.
