Next time you open up your computer be sure to be careful with static. I know most people don't wear static bracelets but at least touch the something that's grounded before touching your computer EVERY time.

If your PSU is plugged in and installed properly, you can touch your case to discharge static buildup.

 

Yeah I usually use the case to ground when its plugged in.

you should still buy a wrist wrap and dont work on carpets

espcecially since you live in canada where its cold, any heater in the room will make your house a death trap for PC static
