2TB Hard Disk Fills Up During Installation

Okay, update.

After reinstalling Windows, the issue continued, so it must be a hardware fault as some of you suggested. Hence I have contacted Amazon.co.uk for a replacement drive. Following the trend of excellent support I have received from Amazon, they have agreed to send me a replacement, which should (hopefully) arrive on Monday. For now, I can keep the drive in my system in it's current (albeit annoying) state.

Here are some screenies taken about 10 seconds apart showing the issue:

Talking of Amazon's excellent customer support, having reported the issue yesterday morning, a parcel was delivered this morning containing the replacement drive!

I'm currently installing Windows to see if the issue persists, but nonetheless, the support I have received from Amazon is outstanding.

Looks like the issue was caused by a bad drive - the drive now works perfectly - and I have an increased read speed; I assume because the drive I was sent was an earlier model with 3 platters instead of 2 :D
