Hyper Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Each usb header on the mobo has 2 channels (2 port), some devices only need 1 channel(port) and thus only have 4 pin plugs.. the 9th pin is an extra ground. when you plug it in you will need to pay attention to the pin-out as there is no guide pin to tell you which way to plug it in.
